Since the group started contributions have been made to the foundation which helps raise funds for cancer research. Participation has included everything from yearly Terry Fox Run teams and headshave events to fundraiser raffles. With this year’s total still to come, members friends and family have graciously donated over $26,000 to the Foundation! We will moreover be taking mazuma donation in person at Shoeless Joe’s during upcoming home match days with some special raffle prizes for good measure. TFC Supporters Charity 5v5 Soccer Tournament June 20, 2018RPB NewsTeam RPB The TFC Supporters Charity 5v5 Soccer Tournament took place on sunny afternoon Saturday June 16th at 3:00 PM at the TFC (KIA) Training Ground in Downsview Park. Finals took place at 7:00 PM. Red Patch Boys entered a solid squad of footy-capable members with varying skill levels. Friends, members and family moreover came to hang out and cheer on our squad for the day. Staying hydrated and taking on a “defense-first” strategy led us to victory. Congrats to U-Sector 1 for winning the tournament. Thanks then to all who participated, organized and supported TFC Supporters. Here are a few comments from our squad: “We had fun. We were short on persons as expected but the squad did well to hustle it out! Overall, we are satisfied!” “Great event on Saturday – enjoyed playing with my fellow RPB – I hope they do it then next year.” RPB’s First Tailgate BBQ in 2018 June 20, 2018RPB NewsTeam RPB Went off with a slight hitch… Featured Menu: Supporters Shield Pulled Chicken Sandwiches MLS Cup Champion Tacos Glen M’s Ribs!! Burgers & Hot dogs (vegetarian available) Salads Water & Pop Snacks You heard it right. The RPB Tailgate Team was when at it with some sweet eats to match the sweet taste of success as reigning MLS Champs! Everyone was welcome to attend. The event took place on Saturday, April 28th surpassing the match versus Chicago Fire from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. This event went off equal to plan thanks to a ton of work overdue scenes (except for some cooperation with the weather). Volunteers on the RPB Tailgate Team prepped and setup with a often good vein which was much appreciated. The weather cursed us longer than expected, but thanks to those that came to hang out, eat some supplies and stay warm under tents (then not under tents), then over grills, and then by basically munching and talking well-nigh the team, the week and increasingly together. Shout outs moreover to members of the RPBImprintTeam that got a imprint project ready to go but weather postponed the widow fun. We cannot say unbearable of all the help from our Supporters. May 2, 2018RPB NewsTeam RPB Red Patch Boys members traveled to Guadalajara, Mexico to witness the weightier endangerment any MLS team has overly come to winning the CONCACAF Champions League. Toronto FC played versus Chivas in the second leg of the final on Wednesday, April 25th, 2018.Withouta 1-2 first leg loss at BMO Field on Tuesday, April 17th, TFC made an epic comeback winning the second leg game 2-1. The two-game series ended with a yank 3-3 and forced a penalty shootout. Chivas won by scoring all four while TFC missed twice which meant that traveling supporters were forced to watch Chivas hoist the cup in a grand celebration. Not the finish we dreamed of but so proud of our Reds and the CONCACAF times we shared. Shouts to all road warriors who journeyed to any of the Mexico legs and are unscratched home now. From home we now squint forward!
